Sporosan® at the Asklepios Congress
At the Asklepios Congress for Hospital Hygiene in Hamburg on September 17–18, our Managing Director Dr. Jörn Winter, together with MEIKO, presented Sporosan® to a broad audience of hygiene professionals. The focus was on the mode of action of the novel active substance peroxynitrous acid and the latest results of our application study in bedpan washers.
Particularly impressive: Sporosan® demonstrated strong efficacy in just 30 seconds – even against highly resistant pathogens such as bacterial spores and mycobacteria.

Sporosan® in Dialogue with Hygiene Experts
At the invitation of the Bundeswehr Hospital Westerstede, our Managing Director Dr. Jörn Winter, together with MEIKO, presented Sporosan® and the scientific principles of broad-spectrum disinfection based on peroxynitrous acid (ONOOH).
During the Hygiene Working Group meeting, this developed into an in-depth technical discussion on automated and surface disinfection. Particularly valuable were the questions and insights from hygiene professionals who deal with these processes and challenges in their daily clinical practice.

Ministerial Visit to Nebula Biocides
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s Minister of the Interior, Christian Pegel, visited our laboratory in Greifswald together with representatives of the Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. The focus was on our novel active substance Sporosan®, its applications, and the specific challenges involved in developing and obtaining regulatory approval for innovative biocides.
During a live demonstration, our guests experienced the technology behind Sporosan® firsthand. An insightful exchange on innovation, deep tech, and the importance of reliable financing in bringing new technologies from research to real-world application.

Strengthening Innovation in Eastern Germany
At the “Branchendialog Ost: Startup und Scaleup” at the Federal Ministry of Finance, our Managing Director Dr. Ansgar Schmidt-Bleker joined Federal Minister of Finance Lars Klingbeil, Minister of State Elisabeth Kaiser, and around 70 representatives of eastern Germany’s start-up community to discuss better conditions for innovative companies.
The focus: financing, reliable innovation funding, and faster regulatory procedures. Because successful innovation requires not only capital, but also reliability and speed.

Sporosan® impresses at the DGKH Congress in Berlin!
There was strong interest in our Sporosan® disinfection technology at the 18th Congress of the German Society for General and Hospital Hygiene: in particular, the integration into bedpan washers with broad-spectrum disinfection in under 20 seconds proved highly convincing. Our surface disinfection solutions and wipe dispenser system also attracted significant attention.
Together with MEIKO we engaged with numerous professional visitors. The high level of interest and fully attended expert sessions highlight the demand for fast and effective disinfection solutions. Many thanks to all partners and visitors for the valuable exchange!

Prevention Award: Recognition and Video
Almost a year ago, we were honoured as one of three companies in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to receive the Prevention Award for Workplace Health Promotion. We would like to thank the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for this recognition. As part of the award, a short video was produced showcasing our approach to workplace health promotion.

Expert Meeting in Offenburg
At a hygiene workshop organized by MEIKO on November 18, Nebula Biocides had the opportunity to exchange ideas with three hygiene specialists from the Bundeswehr Hospital in Westerstede. The active ingredient and the introduction of Sporosan® were presented during a hygiene training session, and exciting potential applications were discussed. Here’s to further steps together!

Company Run in Rostock
The team of Nebula Biocides GmbH took part in the Rostock company run with great fun and true sportsmanship – and with success!
Out of a total of 1,020 teams, our "Nebula Running" team achieved 104th place in the mixed category! Many thanks to the organizers and all the teams for the great atmosphere along the course!
